Extended Producer Responsibility

EPR consultancy and support for Plastic Waste, E-Waste, Battery Waste, Tyre Waste, Used Oil and other applicable waste streams

Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is an environmental management approach that assigns responsibility to producers for the entire lifecycle of their products, particularly the management of waste generated after the products reach the end of their useful life.

Under this framework, producers, importers, and brand owners are required to ensure that waste from their products is collected, recycled, and processed in an environmentally responsible manner. EPR is widely applied to products such as plastic packaging, electronic waste, batteries, tyres, and other materials that can cause environmental harm if not properly managed.

The objective of EPR is to encourage producers to take responsibility for the environmental impact of their products while promoting sustainable product design and improved recyclability. By establishing organized collection systems and recycling networks, EPR helps ensure that waste materials are properly managed rather than ending up in landfills or the natural environment.

Effective implementation of EPR contributes to higher recycling rates, improved resource recovery, reduced pollution, and stronger accountability across supply chains. It also plays an important role in supporting the transition toward a circular economy.
